Commemorative Air Force Museum

The Arizona Commemorative Air Force Museum, a.k.a. Airbase Arizona Aircraft Museum, was built up in 1978, in Falcon Field in Mesa, Arizona. It is the tenth unit of the Commemorative Air Force and the home of one of the biggest Commemorative Air Force units on the planet. On display are World War II curios, helicopters and exemplary American and outside battle planes, a large number of which are the final warbirds of their sorts.

The Arizona Commemorative Air Force Museum can follow its history to September 6, 1961, when the Commemorative Air Force was established. The non-benefit association was sanctioned as a charitable Texas organization in Dallas. Its central goal was, and still is, to reestablish and protect World War II-time battle aircraft.
